All road closures for construction and events to be posted here. Including the location, duration and detour routes.
Diggin' Downtown Napanee
Beginning on Monday, May 1st, the intersection of Dundas St. and Centre St. and the intersection of Dundas St. and Robert St. will be closed to traffic to facilitate the set-up and operation of the required pumping equipment so crews can install the new sanitary, storm, and watermains within the block. The underground work is scheduled to be completed mid-June. The surface restoration work will follow immediately afterwards with the intent to re-open the intersections prior to the July 1st (Canada Day) weekend.
Although there will be NO EXIT for WESTBOUND traffic on Dundas St (due to the closure of Dundas St at Centre St intersection) vehicles will be permitted to enter this section of Dundas St and a turnaround area near the intersection will be provided. LOCAL TRAFFIC (not thru traffic) can by-pass the barricades to enter all NO EXIT blocks in the area. See attached map for closures points and detour routes.
Effective Tuesday, April 18th, Dundas Street West in Napanee will be CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC from Centre Street to Robert Street. This closure will be in effect until further notice. This closure is necessary to facilitate the re-construction of Dundas Street. Emergency access to this closed block will be under the direction of on-site construction staff.
Note that Dundas Street will be under construction into the Fall of 2017. Construction is commencing in this first block and generally progressing to the west to Robinson Street. Ongoing notices will be provided to advise you of future closures.
Bridge Street, Napanee
Beginning on Thursday, April 27th construction resumes on Bridge Street in Napanee. While the majority of the remaining work is in the area from Centre Street to Belleville Road, other minor works will be taking place east of Centre Street to Alma Avenue. Crews will be completing all unfinished work including concrete sidewalks, grass boulevards, driveway restoration, line painting, etc.
For the next several weeks there will be intermittent single lane closures controlled by flag persons. You should expect some traffic delays in this area while this work is being completed.
